2,300-Year-Old Plush Bird from the Altai Mountains of Siberia (c.400-300 BCE): this artifact was crafted with a felt body and reindeer-fur stuffing, all of which remains intact

This stuffed bird was sealed in the frozen barrows of Pazyryk, Siberia, for more than two millennia, where a unique microclimate enabled it to be preserved. The permafrost ice lense formation that sits just beneath the barrows provides an insulating layer, preventing the soil from heating during the summer and allowing it to quickly freeze during the winter; these conditions produce a separate microclimate within the stone walls of the barrows themselves, thereby aiding in preservation.

This is just one of the many well-preserved artifacts that have been found at Pazyryk. These artifacts are attributed to the Scythian/Altaic cultures.

saying “you are a burden on society” is just such a weird framing of priorities

It’s like saying “wow, think how much better gas mileage your car would get if you weren’t sitting in it” or “think how dry that umbrella would be if you weren’t holding it in between you and the rainstorm”.

the things we create? they’re for us. they are meant to carry us. they are meant to protect us. we are meant to hold them up to keep us dry.

why do we even have a society if not to take care of each other?

we can say "disabled butches are real butches" all we want but do you all really believe that? what is your mental image of a butch? who are they? are they physically strong? can they lift a catalytic converter? can they carry a mini fridge up a flight of stairs? can they go backpacking for a full weekend? have they ever been institutionalized? are they under a guardianship? how do they speak? how do they see or hear? when you say "i want a butch gf" do you really mean you want a gf who can lift 200lbs and has zero emotional vulnerabilities? are you able to love us with our limitations, our humanity, our traumas, our support needs, our weaknesses? or do you view butchness as some kind of idealized masculine archetype where you just slap a binder and a strap on on an action movie hero and call it a day?
